Driving time in your own car from Bangkok to Rayong, via the Bangna-Chonburi superhighway, is 2.30 hours, by public bus from Ekkamai Station 3.30 hours.

Restaurant -- Located between the swimming pool and the sea, the beachside Samed Club cafe is open 07:00-23:00. It offers a wide range of international favourites as well as authentic Thai cuisine. Or enjoy your food and drinks in the adjacent patio area under the trees. A wide range of free magazines and paperbacks are available in the cafe.

Samed Club -- This small, intimate seaside resort offers 30 bungalows and cottages with sea, garden or mountain views, set around a swimming pool and backing onto the green hillside or right on the beach.
